OUR BEST YEAR EVER
Approaching its 30th year, Keystone’s business in the past 12 months has been the most successful ever, despite the recession.
Fueling the growth: four new Business TV networks joined our customer ranks, including America’s largest network to schools and a university distance degree program. A major new Digital Signage client also came aboard.
The Keystone Event Network deployed permanent HDTV satellite links in over 100 top restaurants, while our event business continued to expand with more HD services.
“We thank our existing and new customers for their confidence in our services,” said Keystone CEO Keven Cahoon, “and we look forward to working even harder for you in the future."

| SATELLITE NETWORK MIGRATIONS MADE EASY: KEYSTONE FIELD ENGINEERING & SUPPORT
When a customer of Intelsat, the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, needed help rapidly re-pointing a large and important satellite data network with hundreds of remote sites across North and Central America, it turned to Keystone Enterprise Services for field engineering and help-desk support services. Numerous locations within this network are beyond the reach of cell phone service and the utility power grid, making the network the only means of connectivity for phone and Internet links to the rest of the world.
Extreme Support: Keystone’s team re-pointed hundreds of satellite ground antennas in remote sites during the dead of winter, from helicopter-only accessible national park stations in the Western U.S. to remote sites in the Alaskan islands accessible only via float plane and snowmobile, and all in record time.
Intelsat initially contracted with two integrators, including Keystone, assuming that a single integrator would not be able to reach and serve all the sites across North and Central America. Keystone completed the entire project. “Keystone’s engineering, help-desk, network support and field engineering force installed or serviced over 4,300 corporate remote sites per month earlier this year,” said Keystone SVP Dan Loveless, “so assisting Intelsat by re-pointing this network and providing help-desk services was easily within our service capabilities.”
Intelsat-Certified for Extra Support: Keystone is also one of the very few companies Intelsat has certified to perform its own ‘peak and pol’ VSAT access authorization so it can self-install and certify corporate two-way data terminals and activate them on the Intelsat system. In order to receive Intelsat’s self-access certification, Keystone’s engineers obtained hands-on training from Intelsat. The certification allows Keystone to conduct peak and cross pol testing for satellite data networks, and access designated space capacity without requiring direct supervision by Intelsat’s carrier control center.

Retail Case Study: Business Television Customer
Business: Fortune 500 global retailer
Challenge: Hold corporate-wide “town hall” meetings. Train associates at 1,600+ stores and locations across North America.
Solution: Business Television (BTV) network via Keystone’s advanced content delivery platform, plus on-site video production support.
Results: Effective “all-hands” communications company-wide, and division-wide. Avoided travel expenses and reduced “non-selling time.” Digital video signage delivery platform.

When it needed a company-wide broadcast solution for communicating key corporate information, it turned to Keystone Enterprise Services for turnkey satellite business television (BTV) network and video production services.
Over Keystone's satellite platform, the retailer delivers live large-scale organization-wide broadcasts with its CEO and executive team to 1,600-plus sites across North America. It can cost-effectively train tens of thousands of employees annually, without requiring extensive travel and away-from-selling time. And it can deliver dynamic Digital Signage to screens in its stores over the same network.
Why Keystone? Comprehensive broadcast services via an advanced satellite content distribution platform:
Production: dedicated on-site video staff and services at the retailer’s headquarters.
Support: network monitoring, help desk, maintenance, and nationwide field support to network locations.
Since moving to Keystone, the retailer has doubled its number of annual broadcasts, and participant surveys register overwhelming approval of the BTV network as an effective communications method.
By consolidating from different satellite systems onto Keystone’s single multi-channel Business Television (BTV) platform, the retailer has also gained cost-savings.
Keystone’s advanced content delivery platforms give companies more flexibility and control of their networks.
